It is recommended that painting be done prior to installation. It is suggested that you follow your paint manufacturer’s or body shop's recommended procedures for ABS and TPO. The primary differences between painting ABS and TPO is that ABS is ready to paint out of the box, while TPO requires additional priming and sanding.
